How to properly calculate the Feast of First Fruits

First Fruits comes the day after the Sabbath that follows the last day of Unleavened Bread. So I’ll break it down here. The Passover comes first which we already know.

In the fourteenth day of the first month at even is Yahuah’s Pecach. Vayiqra (Leviticus) 23:5 | את Cepher

Then immediately followed by the week of Unleavened Bread

And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the Feast of Matstsah unto Yahuah: seven days ye must eat matstsah. In the first day ye shall have a holy assembly: ye shall do no servile work therein. But ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto Yahuah seven days: in the seventh day is a holy assembly: ye shall do no servile work therein. Vayiqra (Leviticus) 23:6-8 | את Cepher

The first day of Unleavened Bread will always fall on the 4th day of the week and the last day of Unleavened Bread (the 7th and final day of the FEAST) will always be on the 3rd day of the week. Then you have your weekly Shabbat on the 7th day. Then the day after THAT Sabbath is The Feast Of First Fruits.

And Yahuah spoke unto Mosheh, saying: Speak unto the children of Yashar’el, and say unto them: When ye are come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring a sheaf of the first fruits of your harvest unto the priest: And he shall wave the sheaf before Yahuah, to be accepted for you: on the morrow after the Shabbath the priest shall wave it. Vayiqra (Leviticus) 23:9-11 | את Cepher

See how the verses all go in order and lines up with the calendar? Started at verse 5 which is always on the 3rd day of the week.

Verse 6-7 naturally is the next day (day 4 of the week)

Verse 8 would then come on the 3rd day of the following week after Passover. (This is the 7th day of The Feast Of Unleavened Bread)

Verse 9 Yahuah addresses Moses

Verse 10 Yahuah tells Moses what to tell Yashar’al regarding the timeline and also what to bring as an offering and who to give it to

Verse 11 Yahuah says WHEN to do it. He says on the morrow after the Shabbath. So remember, we left off on the 3rd day of the week back up in verse 8.

Then the weekly 7th day Shabbat comes. Yahuah then says tommorow after THAT Shabbath. Which would be one a day 1 of the following week which is why First Fruits is on April 5th 2026 and not on 03/29/2026.

Feast Of First Fruits (Bakurim)

And Yahuah spoke unto Mosheh, saying: Speak unto the children of Yashar’el, and say unto them: When ye are come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring a sheaf of the first fruits of your harvest unto the priest: And he shall wave the sheaf before Yahuah, to be accepted for you: on the morrow after the Shabbath the priest shall wave it. And ye shall offer that day when ye wave the sheaf a he-lamb without blemish of the first year for an ascending smoke offering unto Yahuah. And the oblation thereof shall be two tenth deals of fine flour mingled with oil, an offering made by fire unto Yahuah for a sweet savor: and the drink offering thereof shall be of wine, the fourth part of a hin. And ye shall eat neither bread, nor parched grain, nor green ears, until the selfsame day that ye have brought an offering unto your Elohiym: it shall be a statute forever throughout your generations in all your dwellings. Vayiqra (Leviticus) 23:9-14 | את Cepher
